Midas Documentation
Welcome to the official Midas documentation! This guide will help you understand how to use our AI-powered launchpad to create, manage, and explore the next generation of Solana tokens.
1. What is Midas?
Midas is an innovative platform designed to simplify the creation of Solana-based tax tokens. Leveraging advanced AI, we empower developers and communities to launch tokens with unique features like built-in rewards, all while benefiting from automatic SOL airdrops to holders. Our goal is to make token launching accessible, efficient, and rewarding for everyone.
- AI-Powered Creation: Generate token details (name, symbol, description, image) instantly.
- Tax Tokens: Implement a 6% tax on every transaction, with rewards distributed to holders.
- Automated Airdrops: SOL rewards are automatically airdropped to your community.
2. Getting Started
Before you can launch or manage tokens, you'll need a Solana wallet.
Midas supports popular Solana wallets like Phantom and Solflare.
- Click the "Select Wallet" button in the top right corner of the page.
- Choose your preferred wallet from the modal.
- Approve the connection in your wallet.
Important: Ensure your connected wallet has sufficient SOL to cover transaction fees and any initial buy amount for your token.
3. Launching a New Token
Ready to create your own moonshot? Follow these steps to launch a new token on Midas.
- Navigate to Launch: Click the "+ New Coin" button in the header or visit /launch.
- AI Generation (Optional but Recommended):
Enter a topic (e.g., "DogeCoin", "futuristic city") in the "Optional: Enter a topic for AI" field and click "Generate with AI". Our AI will suggest a name, symbol, description, and even generate a unique image for your token.
- Manual Details: Fill in the following required fields:
- Name: The full name of your token (e.g., "Midas Token").
- Ticker: The short symbol for your token (e.g., "MIDAS").
- Description: A brief explanation of your token's purpose or theme.
- Image: Upload an image file or provide a URL for your token's logo.
- Initial Buy (Optional): Enter an amount in SOL you wish to use for an initial buy of your token. This helps seed the liquidity pool.
- Social Links (Optional): Expand the "Social Links" section to add URLs for your website, Twitter, and Telegram.
- Review Fees: The form will display the estimated fees required for token creation. Currently, the platform fee is waived, but a small SDK fee is required.
- Launch Token: Click the "Launch Token" button. You will be prompted to approve two transactions in your wallet: one for the platform fee (if applicable) and one for the token creation fee.
Once both transactions are confirmed, your token will be successfully launched on the Solana blockchain and listed on Midas!
4. Understanding Token Distribution
Midas currently offers one mode for rewards, with more to be released in the future. All modes involve a 6% tax on transactions, with 50% going to the developer and the rest to the community.
The most common mode. A portion of the transaction tax is distributed proportionally to all token holders based on their holdings. This encourages long-term holding.
5. Managing Your Token
As a token creator, you can manage your token easily on RevShare, eventually we will be implementing our own dashboard for creators directly on our site.
6. Exploring Tokens
Discover new and trending tokens launched on Midas.
- Trending Bar: At the top of the homepage, a live ticker displays trending tokens with their price and 24h change.
- Search Bar: Use the search bar in the header to find tokens by name, symbol, or mint address.
- Token Tabs: On the homepage, scroll down to the "Discover the Next Moonshot" section. Here you can browse tokens by:
